Learning at Home

There are lots of ways in which you can help your learning in school at home. In school, we practice our learning a lot to help us remember. We know from the Scientists that practicing what you already know will really help you with any new learning.

Things which you can do at home:

  • Read, read and read! You will have your reading book from school but you can read many other things as well to help you and enjoy reading. Remember at Swallowdale we are all readers!
  • Practise your times tables and the best way to do this is using the TTRS app. If you are not sure how to log on then please ask your classroom teacher.
  • You can talk to the adults at home about your Knowledge Organisers to show what you have been learning!
  • Use your knowledge organisers to help you research even more, about what you have been learning. Remember to use the internet safely and ask an adult to help you if you are not sure.
  • You can use some other websites like BBC Bitesize.
  • You can show your learning in a different way at home. Maybe make a podcast, a model or an information text about your learning. The possibilities are endless!

If you would like to know more, then talk to your class teacher to help you.
