Children’s Worries and Concerns

There are many things that children may worry about, including:

  • Bullying
  • Homework
  • Moving School
  • School work
  • Friendships
  • Separation and Loss

If you feel that your child is worrying about something, don’t be afraid to ask them. If they find it difficult to talk, try asking them to draw what is worrying them, or ask them to write it down for you. Many children feel it easier to communicate to their adult in this way.

Remember the saying – ‘A problem shared is a problem halved!’

If you would like to talk to someone about the worries your child has, please contact your teacher in the first instance. Our adults in school are all good listeners and if they can’t help, they will signpost you to someone who can.
