Safeguarding at our school

The school’s Lead Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Samantha Harries.

The Deputy DSLs in school are Mrs Edwards, Miss Charles, Mrs Kirk, Mr Corcoran and Miss Cross.

Swallowdale Primary fully recognises the contribution it can make to protect children and support pupils in school. The Head Teacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) are responsible for overseeing the fostering of good practice and an honest, open, caring and supportive environment.

Pupils’ welfare is of paramount importance, therefore safeguarding our pupils is the priority of Bradgate Education Partnership and Swallowdale Primary. This is reflected throughout Trust and school policies and is embedded into school life. Our school values ‘Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe’ sit at the heart of our school ethos.

Our Safeguarding and  Child Protection Policy can be found in the Policy section of the website alongside our Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Policy too.
